Ingredients
- 2 Large size Potatoes
- 3/4 of cup Chickpea Flour (Sengapindi)
- 1/4 of cup Rice flour
- 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp Ginger
- 1 tbsp Green chilli
- 1 Spring Curry leaves
- finely chop some curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tbsp Garam masala
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Oil to deep fry
Instructions
Steps for making Potatoes Masala :
- Take two large size potatoes in a pressure cooker add water.
- Cook on medium flame till soft up to 3 whistles peel and dry completely.
- Dry with a towel and cool down completely and mash well.
- Take a bowl to add 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp Mustard seeds,1 tbsp Cumin seeds,1 tbsp ginger,1 tbsp Green chilli,1 spring Curry leaves stir it.
- Add chopped onion fry till translucent, salt,1/2 tbsp Garam masala,1 tbsp coriander powder stir it.
- Add Mashed potatoes,1/2 tbsp turmeric powder,1 tbsp lemon juice and mix well.
- Saute well and cool down completely.
Steps Aloo Bonda :
- In a Mixing bowl add 3/4 cup Chickpea flour (Sengapindi), 1/4 cup Rice flour,1/2 tbsp turmeric powder,1 tbsp red chilli powder, salt to taste.
- Add sufficient water for flowing consistency.
- The batter should be dosa batter consistency.
- Now potatoes masala roll to small lemon size balls.
- Let it dry for 10 mins.
- Dip the balls and lift with 3 fingers hold the Bonda for 4 secs then the excess batter will flow down.
- Fry on medium to high flame till light golden colour.
